Baranors Bio.

What can I say? My Bio will be shrouded in a lot of mystery, since we are the Anonymous Diablo 2 Addicts, but none the less, I will try to tell as much as possible without revealing my identity. My name is Baranor, Barry for friends, and I once was a DiabloHolic. I am one of the six who started this playing group (I launched the original idea), and my idea was to get a group of dedicated players together to play games. And if I say games, I mean Games, not just Diablo 2. I played a lot of games in the past, starting with Space Invaders on my father’s computer when i was 10 years of age. At that time, some radio stations still transmitted programs and games late at night, and those could be recorded on a tape. Yes, it might sound a little old-fashioned, and so it was, but it was a lot of fun. The next game I truly remember playing is Zeliard. Zeliard is a platform RPG in which you, the hero Duke Garland, set out to defeat the monster and rescue the princess. A game ot my liking. Dune 2, Wolfenstein 3D and Doom soon followed, as did Civilization. After that, the games I played became more or less a blurr, with occasional top-games like X-COM Terror from the Deep and Warhammer Dark Omen sticking out. Of course, I have also played Diablo, and Diablo II with its expansion Lord of Destruction, Starcraft and Broodwar. Those number amongst my favorite games.By the number of games I played, and the time-table, a little can be learned about my age. I am 22 at the moment, and will be 23 before the end of the year. This means I grew up with pc’s and games. I have a nice Girlfriend, also 22, and we have a lot of fun together playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. This brings me to my other hobby, namely RPG! I’m an avid Role-player, and I eagerly await Neverwinter Nights, the forthcoming RPG with Toolset. I also have played Warhammer Fantasy Battle and currently still play Mordheim, City of the Damned.

Now you know something about my gaming career. To add some more volume to this crappy bio I will now list my favorite bands: Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Brainstorm and Nightwish. Yep, I’m a metal-maniac. I enjoy Heavy Metal, preferably a little loud. I have every CD Maiden brought out, and my girlfriend has everything Metallica ever brought out. We make a fine couple that way.

Last but not least I will tell you about my favorite Diablo 2 Character. Its the WereBear. Those who know me more closely will know why. My favorite quote while playing him is: *Growl*

 

Some folks asked for pictures of my miniatures. Of course I don't have a digital camera, but I do have a scanner, and its quite easy to scan a miniature. So take a good look, and don't be too harsh!
